01 Overview

Where our Windermere chapter began, in 2012.

Windermere Waters is where our Windermere chapter began: a 146-suite, five-storey condominium at 1230 Windermere Way in Upper Windermere, southwest Edmonton, completed in 2012. At roughly 160,000 square feet, it was one of the early premium condominium offerings in the master-planned Windermere community, and it set the bar we have been raising ever since.

Homes ranged from compact one-bedrooms to larger two-bedroom-plus-den layouts, with floor-to-ceiling and oversized windows oriented to the community lake and the southwest Edmonton skyline. The building is fully sold out and now operates as a resident-managed condominium corporation under CS Management.

Steps away, the Currents of Windermere shopping and dining district handles daily life, with quick access to Anthony Henday Drive and the river valley. Together with our adjacent Windermere Mansions, Signature Condominiums, and Tower in Ambleside, it completed one of our earliest concentrated portfolios: four buildings, one neighbourhood, built to stay.

Windermere

Windermere and Ambleside are two adjacent City of Edmonton neighbourhoods in the far southwest, both among the six neighbourhoods inside the Windermere Area Structure Plan and both still being built out.

Windermere Waters is on Windermere Way between Windermere Boulevard and the residential streets to the south, in the Windermere neighbourhood. Four ETS stops sit at the Windermere Way and Windermere Boulevard intersection. Measured from those stops, the nearest edge of Currents of Windermere is about 770 metres, or a ten to twelve minute walk, though the centre is a big-box power centre with surface parking and most of its anchor stores are a drive.

From that intersection the nearest edge of Currents of Windermere is roughly 770 m, about a ten to twelve minute walk; the eastern end of the centre is roughly 1.5 km away.
Currents of Windermere, 6004 Currents Drive NW, is a power centre of over 100 acres and 1,200,000 sq ft; anchors include Walmart, Home Depot, Canadian Tire and Cabela's, and the grocery store inside it is a Safeway.
Real Canadian Superstore at 1155 Windermere Way SW is on the same street, anchoring Windermere Crossing, a 20-acre, 196,000 sq ft centre.
No LRT serves Windermere or Ambleside. Century Park is the Capital Line's southern terminus, and the extension under construction runs south to Heritage Valley, several kilometres east of here.
