01 Overview

Two towers in Ambleside, delivered in 2016.

Signature Condominiums is our two-tower, 247-suite for-sale condominium community at 5151 Windermere Boulevard SW in Edmonton's Ambleside neighbourhood, completed in 2016. The towers rise nine and twelve storeys over a shared landscaped podium, totalling approximately 496,000 square feet of residential space. It remains one of the projects we point to when people ask what we mean by building for the long term.

The community sits in Upper Windermere along the Currents of Windermere retail, dining, and services corridor, with quick access to Anthony Henday Drive and the river valley to the south. Original buyers chose from one-, two-, and three-bedroom layouts, from compact pied-à-terres to larger penthouse-style homes, and they chose quickly.

Residents still enjoy a fitness room overlooking the pond and infinity water feature, a lounge with wet bar and double-sided fireplace opening onto an outdoor terrace, and on-site concierge service. The buildings are fully sold out and operate as resident-managed condominium corporations. We remain proud neighbours just up the boulevard.

Ambleside

Windermere and Ambleside are two adjacent City of Edmonton neighbourhoods in the far southwest, both among the six neighbourhoods inside the Windermere Area Structure Plan and both still being built out.

Signature Condominiums carries a Windermere Boulevard address, but the parcel sits in Ambleside, which is a separate City of Edmonton neighbourhood from Windermere. Both are among the six neighbourhoods inside the Windermere Area Structure Plan, and the City's Ambleside profile says so directly. The bus stops closest to the door are the ones at Ambleside Drive and Windermere Boulevard, and at Currents Drive and Windermere Boulevard.

The address is in Ambleside, City neighbourhood 5505, not Windermere, which is 5570; both are in pihêsiwin Ward.
A future Ambleside Transit Centre is planned for the southwest corner of Windermere Boulevard and Ambleside Drive. The City's February 2025 planning report states that detailed design has not occurred and construction timing is unknown.
Ambleside Park is at 181 Ambleside Drive. The neighbourhood is bounded on the east by the Whitemud Creek Ravine, and the City notes parks and ponds connected by walkable green space in addition to the ravine.
Dr. Margaret-Ann Armour School (EPSB, Kindergarten to Grade 9) at 3815 Allan Drive SW serves students from Ambleside and Glenridding Heights.
Currents of Windermere is on Currents Drive NW off Windermere Boulevard; the grocery store inside it is a Safeway.
